Language Service Organization

Language is a bridge across our city.

We are high school volunteers who use our fluency in English, Spanish, and Chinese to give back to New York City. Translation, connection, and real support, where it is needed most.

Our mission

Language should bring our diverse city closer together.

The Language Service Organization is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to giving back to the New York City community through the power of language. While we strive to break down communication barriers, our ultimate goal is to actively help our neighbors by providing essential translation, connection, and support where it is needed most.

We believe language should be a bridge that brings our diverse city closer together.

What we do

Fluency, put to work for our neighbors.

Our high school volunteers use their fluency in English, Spanish, and Chinese to serve local NYC communities. We host multilingual events, offer real-time translation assistance, and partner with local organizations so everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.
